Coaching Information and Services For Coaches
I love the young profession of coaching, and believe coaches do really important work in the world. To help build this profession I have always volunteered a big chunk of my time (at the ICF, coaching schools, coaching groups, etc.) to help raise the professionalism, impact, commercial success and public profile of coaching. I have also reserved a portion of my volunteer time (and my coaching practice) to write, speak, teach and coach other coaches.
Whether you are an aspiring coach, a new coach, or an established coach, I have lots of useful (free) information, programs and products to help you find your way and fill your practice.
Aspiring Coaches
If you are thinking about becoming a coach, I bet you are a bit overwhelmed. There are a lot of programs (some great, some not) and quite a lot of confusing information out there.
To help you get the information you need, I have written an article that describes the process of becoming a coach and gives you my best advice how to do it well. It will save you a lot of time, money and suffering. You can read it at How To Become A Coach.
New Coaches Wanting More Clients
Most new coaches love coaching, but struggle to fill their practices. The challenge is that even though coaching is extremely powerful, few potential clients have experienced it. To save you time, effort and struggle I offer the following:
Free Recordings
Talk On Finding A Profitable Niche You Love
This is one of my most requested talks, because it takes coaches through a step by step process of finding their "sweet spot" or "calling". (That place where your greatest gifts meet your ideal client group's greatest needs - where clients start to come to you and marketing is much easier.)
This is an excerpt from a free teleclass I gave to the North Texas ICF Chapter in the fall of 2006. (I apologize for the telephone-level sound quality. My dear wife says it sounds like I have had a drink or two prior to leading the class - I didn't, it is just the line quality.)
If you click on the first link, it will download a mp3 file that you can play on your default audio player, just like you would a song. When you finish with the first part, go on to part 2, and then part 3. In each segment there is are a few seconds of overlap so you don't miss any of the content. (The spreadsheet I refer to in the talk can be seen at http://www.acoach4u.com/nichetool.htm) Enjoy.

Talk On The Future Of Coaching
Is coaching a fad? How big is the market for coaching? Why do so many coaches struggle? What are the biggest challenges professional coaching faces? What can we do about it? These are some of the many questions I address in this keynote delivered at the GTA Coaches fall conference.
In my answers, I draw on the wonderful experience of my years volunteering at the ICF where I had the privilege of talking to thousands of coaches, and hundreds of trainers, researchers, academics, legislators and clients, from all over the world.
This talk is also broken into 3 segments. Simply click on part one to download a mp3 file to play on your default audio program, then move on to segments 2 and 3.

Help For Established Coaches
Mentoring
For coaches who want fast and individualized attention from an experience Master Coach, I always reserve a portion of my practice for 1 to 1 coaching. Like all my coaching, there are no contracts, you should get a ton of value out of each session, and you can spread the sessions out as long as you want. If you are serious about getting much better results in your practice contact me at Steve .
6 - Figure Mentoring Program
In addition to 1 to 1 mentoring , I have developed a year long program to help established coaches break through the predictable plateau they reach. (Where they have some clients but are not fully and authentically alive and expressed, and are nowhere near a full practice working with people they love.) You can learn about this program at The 6-Figure Practice
