Be The
Change You Want To See In The World
- Mohandas Gandhi
The power of these words, spoken over 60 years ago, are often lost in their simplicity or drowned out in the cacophony of modern life. But what The Mahatma (Great Soul) knew was that any significant change you want to see, starts with you.
Think about applying this truth to some of the changes you might like to see in your life. If you want a better career ( relationship, business, fitness level, life?) you will have to take the initiative and do something about it. More specifically, you actually need to become the type of person to whom these results would naturally flow.
In other words, we can't just sit there waiting to be discovered, praying for the miracle solution or lottery win.
If you get the being (the essence, personality traits, outlook and habits) right, the doing (what you actually have to do to achieve the desired outcome) will follow.
If you don't get the being right, no amount of doing will lead to success.
"Who You Are Speaks Louder than What You Can Say"
Are there changes you would like to see in the world - or in your world? If so, it doesn't require anything external to begin. It simply takes inspiration and commitment.
What are you inspired to change? What qualities do you need to bring forth to accomplish the change? What can you commit to today?
"Consciously or
unconsciously, every one of us does render some service or other.
If we
cultivate the habit of doing this service deliberately, our desire for service
will steadily grow stronger and we will make not only our own happiness, but
that of the world at large." - Gandhi
